^{2019年ミラノで、Giuditta Tanziにより設立されたgarbage core。

名前にgarbage(ゴミ)というワードもつこのプロジェクトは、フリーマーケットやセカンドハンドショップそして友人や家族のワードローブまでからも不要になった服を探し出す、広範囲に及ぶ素材研究から始まりました。}

They think of themselves as “expert flea marketers and treasure hunters”.

^{すべての素材は、garbage coreの拠点であるイタリアで見つけられたものです。素材として見つけられた服は、一度解体され、組み合わされ、また一つに生まれ変わります。

このプロジェクトの目的は ”古着に第2の人生を与えること” ですが、もっと大切にされていることは、それらの魂や以前その服を着ていた人の魂を"そのまま残す"ということです。その為、傷やシミがあったとしても、それはその魂の重要な側面でありアイデンティティとして扱われデザインされていることでしょう。}

Each garbage core garment is produced using a careful selection of second-hand clothes, deadstock fabrics, and upcycled materials collected in Italy. Since garbage core is an upcycling project, materials are at the center of our process and we study every day new techni- ques and processes to create original fabrics.
After working for years with custom-made and made-to-order pieces, with Season 08 we started accepting production orders. To make this possible we worked to find solutions that would keep the production pieces still 100% or in part one-of-a-kind.

^{garbage coreはこれまで一点ものの受注で生産を行ってきましたが、アップサイクルやデッドストック物資への熱心な研究の成果により、同じ服の（限られた数での）複製を可能にしました。2022年に発表され、SEASONのファーストポップアップストアでお披露目したSeason8は、はじめて複製生産を行った大変貴重なコレクションです。}
